Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog -
An Exploration of Space and Depth
In Photoshop, I took an image of this painting, The Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog by Caspar Friedrich, and separated it into different layers. Using After Effects I positioned these layers in a 3D environment and added some effects to portray the weather. I wanted to elaborate on the space in the painting by giving it literal depth.
